The Different Vitamins Used to Water the Plant Affects the Growth of the White Lima Beans
Group Members: Kyra, Aaron, and Ava
Abstract Our hypothesis is, “The different vitamins used to water the plant affects the growth of the White Lima Bean.”
For our experiment we took White Lima Beans and planted them into cups. We then took vitamin A, B1, and C and placed them in different cups filled with hot water. We then waited for the vitamins to disolve into the water and then pour it on the plant. After that we took water from the fosset and poured that on a different plant. Each different liquid was poured on a different plant. All the plants grew.
Methods
Materials list
o Tap water (750 ml)
o Vitamin A (750 ml)
o Vitamin B (750 ml )
o Vitamin C (750 ml)
o Measuring cup (25 ml)
o Soil (8 cups of Great Garden Professional Potting Mix with Organic Fertilizer)
o Cups (4)
o White Lima Beans (8, 2 per plant)
o Popsicle sticks (4)
o Sunlight
o Flat Surface (place plants on)
o Black Marker (1, to write what type of liquid the plant is watered with)
o Camera
Procedure
1. Gather supplies
2. Take out cups
3. Pour even amount of soil in cups (16 ounces for each plant)
4. Press bean 2.5 cm into the soil
5. Melt vitamin A into hot water
6. Water one plant with the vitamin A water
7. Mark a capital “A” on cup that was just watered
8. Melt one vitamin B into water in a new glass
9. Pour vitamin B water onto second plant
10. Mark plant that was just watered with a capital “B”
11. Melt vitamin C into water in a new glass
12. Pour vitamin C onto third plant
13. Mark third cup with a capital “C”
14. Pour water from the tap onto fourth plant
15. Mark that plant with a capital “W”
16. Take pictures everyday for a month
17. Water everyday for a month
Results
Lessons learned
- We learned that you have to be carefull and consistent for a plant to grow becasue if you don't the plant will die of thirst or get drowned with water
- We learned that Vitamin C is the best for plants to grow tall and strong. We learned this from our experiment.
- We learned that Vitamin A is not the best thing to water plants with because they don't grow that tall. We learned this from experimenting.
- We learned that Vitamin B and regular water is okay to water a plant with but not the best. We learned this from the results from our experiment.
Acknowledgements: Aaron for giving us his data.
The plant all the way to the left is the plant watered with vitamin A. The plant to the right of the plant watered with vitamin A is the plant watered with vitamin B. The plant to the right of the plant watered with vitamin B is the plant watered with vitamin C. The plant all the way to the right is the plant watered with tap water.

explanations for lessons learned?
data table? graph?

type of soil?
Don't write "even amounts of soil"--just specify the correct amount.
Inches and oz are not metric
How do you melt the vitamins?
Label the sections: results, lessons learned, etc
data table title 7 missing averages
materials list should state total amounts used throughout the experiment, the procedure will tell how much is needed in each step/day/etc.
Pictures, graphs?
